Eyes may be the windows to the soul but luscious lips will make them hang onto your every word.
You may not give your chapped lippies a second thought but they are a sign of dehydration and sometimes, merely slathering on your favourite lip balm just doesn’t do the trick.
Here’s what you need to do to get your lips gorgeous again:
1. Must…. Have…. Water
We seriously underestimate the value and power of water. This is pretty irresponsible considering that 75% of our bodies consist of water! Dehydration doesn’t only mean that you’re thirsty, it also means that the cells in your body and especially your skin are not as plump as they should be. This is usually the first and main culprit of dull and old looking skin as well as cracked and dry lips. Make sure you get your 2 litres a day and you should be well on your way to luscious lips!
Just like the skin on the rest of your body, the skin on your lips can do with a good scrub down on a regular basis. Why? Well, the skin is always trying to be “new”. As old skin cells die, new ones are being formed and as the old ones fall off, the new ones surface. So get rid of the old skin cells and make way for the new, fresh skin cells. This is an easy and fun step. Try our lip scrub in bubble gum or candy floss. Simply scoop a small amount of scrub with your index finger and scrub your lips in circular motions. Rinse and you’re one step away from luscious lips.
3. Balm me up, Scotty!
Keep moisture locked in by using a good lip balm. Our gorgeous lip balms come in Cherry Crush and Butterscotch. Delicious, good for your lips and completely natural. Be amazed at how your chapped lips are miraculously healed! Also try using the lip balm under your favourite lipstick as it will counter the “drying out” effect that we normally experience with lipsticks.
Make your friend or loved one’s day with the gift of luscious lips. Combine a lip scrub and lip balm of your choice and we’ll make it gift ready for you in a jiffy!
